Kimono Bath Robes

hooded bath robe: kimono robeKimono bath robes, sometimes called dressing gowns, are robes worn after taking a bath or having been in the pool. Kimonos are generally worn at home in privacy, often with no clothes or underwear beneath, and are worn for warmth without having to be fully clothed, or for modesty purposes. The kimono design is based on a simple wrap style with a tie belt, pulled over night attire when padding through the house in the mornings. Women will tie a kimono over their nightdress after bathing, but kimono bath robes are worn over mens pajamas too, on a regular basis, as more and more men take an interest in the ease of wearing a kimono. In Japanese culture, the Yukata, or type of cotton kimono, is worn outdoors in summer as well as wearing it as a bathrobe. Even though there are various types of contemporary bathrobes available today, these are usually categorized by weave and textile or fabric used in manufacture. Fabrics such as silk, satin, cotton, wool, and polyester are kimono bath robe, or his & hers bathrobescommon in the various kimono bath robe styles. Cotton is widely used; it is a natural fiber grown throughout the world in many countries and is especially known for its cool comfort in hot climates because as a cloth it breathes very well. Due to its cellulose properties cotton readily absorbs water. An organic cotton bathrobe is also suitable in temperate climates due to the fact that cotton absorbs perspiration.Wool is more suitable in colder countries because of its thickness and warmth, and yet different weaves determine whether it is suitable for different temperatures. A fine woollen kimono bath robe is comfortable to wear in either winter or spring.Polyester is a man made product which can substitute for natural products, and can be similarly woven into different cloths for manufacture of of clothing. Modern polyester cloth is enhanced to maximize water absorption and breathability. Kimono bath robes made from polyester are soft and lightweight, usually fine and light and silk-like. Silk is also commonly used in kimono robe manufacture, and is a lustrous, fine, light fiber, mainly composed of fibroin from the secretions of silk worms or insect larvae, who produce a strong and very elastic thread. The cost of producing it is very expensive, and therefore you might expect that silk kimono robes would more expensive than the usual cotton kimono robe. This Silk Kimono Robetype of robe is not recommended as a bath robe because silk ford not have good water absoption properties. Silk robes are very traditional and a popular choice for women for casual relaxation around the home.Terry kimono robes are a popular choice, but are generally specifically a kimono bath robe, as terry cloth is a thick luxuriant material manufactured from dense cotton loop to absorb maximum water or moisture, much as a towel does. A similar cloth is velour, where the dense loops are cut and velvet-like. It is therefore recommended that the wearer dress in casual clothing shortly after the terry bath robe has assisted with the drying process, in order to avoid a potential chill. Waffle fabric has a distinctive grid-like appearance, much like many of the contemporary paper table cloths and the seersucker cotton fabric of the vintage era, and can be manufactured as pique in velour, silk, as well as cotton and other fabrics. A light waffle bath robe such as Hanro robes, is very cool to wear, and they are very, very popular in the warmer months.

TERRY kimono robes of knee-length, midi length, or full length, are highly suited to after-pool wear, or after taking a shower, because of the thick and looped towel-like absorbency of terry cotton. Most people opt for the midi-length rather than the shorter length as the towel drying capability for the body is more efficient, and they are more modest and therefore more versatile. A short-length men s silk kimono robe with long sleeves, often colorful and/or with exotic pattern and tie, would be more likely to be worn as a men s smoking jacket for informal gatherings, or at home, worn over slacks or casual long pants. men's terry kimono robeA short-length silk kimono for men might also be designed and worn for more intimate occasions.
